Our team loves nothing better than making old timber floors look new again, especially native NZ timbers. We follow a proven sanding and coating process to get the right finish since we're meticulous about getting the job done right. The first step is an in-home consultation, which includes taking detailed measurements. We will capture your preferred look and products here. A quote will be prepared after we have clarified your preferences.

Upon beginning the job, we remove any existing floor coverings or coatings (like carpet or vinyl) and make any necessary repairs.

We begin the sanding process with coarse sandpaper, moving on to fine sandpaper, to achieve a smooth, polished finish. This process prepares the floor for finishing where the sanded floor is stained or coated with the desired finish. The end result is hardwearing, long-lasting wood floors that look stunning.

Floor Staining

Choose from four different finishing options to achieve the look and finish that you desire. The finishes we offer are durable and work well with a variety of timbers. We offer :

Moisture-cured polyurethane

Water-based polyurethane

1- Moisture-cured polyurethane
Moisture-cured polyurethane is a hardwearing, durable finish that’s great for homes with children.

2- Water-based polyurethane
Water-based polyurethane results in a lighter colour that’s good for the environment and family – although it won’t work on imported timber.

3 - Oiling
Oiling gives a subtle, matt, natural finish. Hardwearing, it’s good for dogs and stilettos!

4- Staining
Staining changes the colour of wood, and you can achieve some stunning effects this way. We can help you choose the best finish for your desired look and feel.

Wooden Floor Polishing

Polished to perfection! Hardwood floors offer natural beauty, long-term durability, and can last for many generations when properly cared for. You will still need to polish and buff your surfaces from time to time to remove any surface imperfections.
