We’ll start with an at-home consultation, which includes detailed measurements. When we start work, we’ll begin by removing the existing floor covering or coating (like carpet or vinyl) and completing any repairs. We then start the sanding process, beginning with coarse sandpaper and moving onto fine sandpaper, for that smooth, polished finish. This prepares the floor for finishing where the sanded floor is stained or coated with your choice of finishing product.
This results in a hardwearing, long-lasting wood floor that you won’t worry about replacing.

Moisture-cured polyurethane is a hardwearing, durable finish that’s great for homes with children. Water-based polyurethane results in a lighter colour that’s good for the environment and family – although it won’t work on imported timber. Staining changes the colour of wood, and you can achieve some stunning designer results with this. See for yourself with our work on TV1’s Our First Home. Oiling gives a subtle, matt, natural finish. Hardwearing, it’s good for dogs and stilettos, and over time, scratches will come out by themselves.
